June 2019 Denver Metro Housing Market Update
The numbers are in and the Denver Metro housing market has some really cool things going on for both buyers and sellers!
Buyers can take a deep breath!
The end of May had just under 9,000 homes listed for sale in the area. This has been the highest amount of inventory the market has seen since November of 2013!! What this means for a home buyer is that the higher amount of inventory will really allow you to search thoroughly and find that perfect home, just for you! You also have a little bit more room to negotiate when you have more choices to choose from.
Sellers can rejoice!
The end of May also brought good news for home sellers!
The average price for a single family home hit a RECORD BREAKING high. In the Denver Metro area, this price was just over $555,000 and sellers are still receiving 99% of their asking prices. So despite higher numbers of homes on the market for sale, it is still a great time to sell!
