3 Keys to buying and selling a home...AT THE SAME TIME!!

Are you a homeowner who wants to take advantage of this current Colorado market? Or maybe you are ready to upgrade or downsize, but are worried that you will have no where to go? Get started with these three simple steps to help you buy and sell at the same time!

KNOW YOUR TIMELINE

Timing is everything when it comes to buying and selling a home at the same time!

Knowing all the details from why you need or want to move in the first place, any deadlines you have when it comes to being settled in you new home, how fast homes are currently going under contract in your new location, and how to price your home correctly so that it doesn't "sit" on the market too long and cause delays in your new home purchase, all need to be considered.

When your plan out your timing, you can list your home when the moment is right and ideally move directly from one home to another without any time in a hotel, your car, or your mother's basement!

KNOW YOUR DESTINATION

When you buy a new home, you don't just buy the house.

You also buy the neighborhood, the community, the amenities, the commute, and the school district.

Finding this perfect home in the perfect location may take some time, so it is always a good idea to get a head start so that you can be ready to pounce that perfect opportunity as soon as it arises quickly after you have your current home on the market and under contract.

You definitely do not want to be settling simply for what's available because you are now in a jam.

USE THE SAME REAL ESTATE AGENT

FOR BOTH TRANSACTIONS

In Colorado, your real estate agent should be able to help you with both your home sale and new home purchase. Purchasing and selling at the same time with one single agent will allow for:

  • better alignment of the dates and deadlines of both contracts,

  • better communication between all the parties, and

  • less stress overall because you will only need to have one point of contact instead of several.

One caveat, make sure you agent is someone you know has your best interests in mind, has great organizational skills, and has done the buy/sell at the same time process before.

(And you know, that us!)

ARE YOU READY TO MAKE IT HAPPEN?

Don't wait another minute to grab the good life!
